Installed it in the bonus room above our garage. About 300 sq/ft. Insulated with 6" rolled installation, but ceiling being 6" under roof has a very high radiant heat effect in hot times of year. 9000 BTU's does job nicely. Can cool room to 65' to satisfy my most demanding guest from the north. But the most amazing thing is how quiet outside unit is. I live in central California with evaporative cooling. I'm using this fan to vent out the hot air. The QuietCool replaced a simple department store unit and the difference is amazing. With much higher air flow, the whole house stays cooler. It's not a quiet fan, but it's 10 times quieter than any other fan with anywhere near the same air flow. I only wish I had found out about this unit years ago!

We have an older 1800 sq. ft. manufactured home that we rent out. The old heat system was a very inefficient forced air electric furnace. Our renters tell us the two heads from the mini-split system heat the home superbly. They also can't believe how quiet it is. They say the A/C in the summer will be icing on the cake.
