I installed the indoor and outdoor units myself including all the electrical work. Initially I installed GFCI circuit breaker per Daikin's installation manual, but it tripped every time the compressor cycled on. I replaced it with regular 20A, 220V, single-phase circuit breaker and it's worked fine ever since. I had a certified HVAC tech install the line sets and test for leaks.

If you have electric baseboard heat and are looking for a premium product this seems to be pretty much the only game in town. It looks about as good as a baseboard heater can do and exudes quality. The thing weighs about ten times a regular heater of similar size so holds heat much better - though ultimately you are buying this for looks not performance. Thank you eComfort. My cast iron heater started leaking from kids jumping on it (5 children jumping in sync). I had only turned on the heat for the first time as it just got cold. The kids complained... I said jump around and warm up, I will turn on the heat. They jumped alright... Right on the heater waiting for the heat to rise from it until they got off and said their feet were wet. Ordered the radiator and it came within 2 days. Fast delivery & great service.
