After researching many brands of ductless mini splits I decided on Daikin. They are a front runner in industry and edge out the Mitsubishi in performance. I installed the system myself and was pleased with the detailed instructions. You still need a certified HVAC installer to test the system for leaks and release the refrigerant. I was very happy to do business with eComfort as they were very knowledgeable and helpful when ordering the unit and line kit.

I bought this in-line fan to pump warm air into a chase containing hot and cold water pipes. When outdoor temperatures drop below 15 degrees Fahrenheit, the air in the chase falls below freezing, so I was worried that the pipes would freeze. This little fan together with flex duct (I stripped away the outer insulation) solved the problem. The unit tends to leak through pinholes which are due to impurity of copper tube material from cheap production country. The oil, a part of Freon makes most plastics parts brittle and replace indoor unit. This situation is a subject of recall, however, the company avoids ruining the company name offering free replacement parts for long period. I have repair three pin holes in one indoor unit. Service great, Delivery on time, Unit came in DOA with bad pressure switch. Factory would not replace switch they said call where you purchased it EComfort. I did they wanted me to fill out all kinds of forms, Leave a credit card, until part was returned. Not worth the hassle I Just replaced pressure switch.
