January 2016 our heater went out at our business. We ordered the Modine PDP-150,000 BTU Unit Heater. Other than the shipping was slow - we received this heater a little later than expected in Wisconsin. The heater was installed and is working great as of today, March 2.

I have two of these units. The first one I bought was for my Business to handle Domestic Hot-water (via Heat exchange and snow melt operations) Units has been up and running for 2 years with short run cycles from 7-15 Mins.... (not a good thing) but it has held up like a champ. we use 160f water for our low temp dishwasher. Then a heat another Heat exchanger for the Snow melt system. Installed it in the bonus room above our garage. About 300 sq/ft. Insulated with 6" rolled installation, but ceiling being 6" under roof has a very high radiant heat effect in hot times of year. 9000 BTU's does job nicely. Can cool room to 65' to satisfy my most demanding guest from the north. But the most amazing thing is how quiet outside unit is. Very nice furnace, works great. I used all metal duct work in a cool basement. You lose a lot of heat just warming the duct work. You may want to use the insulated variety as it will not lose as much heat prior to reaching its final destination. I really don't care because I want some heat in my basement anyway. Also, you may want to move to a higher btu level to resolve this issue. If I had to do over, I would have gone with an 80,000 btu instead of the 60,000. All in all, it still gets the... more
