AC unit of 8 years died during heat spell and contractors where quoting very high prices to replace. Having some mechanical ability I decided to purchase and install a new unit myself. eComfort guided me through the whole system and the new unit was shipped to Calif. in just a few days. Had new unit installed in two days and had a licensed AC Tech do my start-up. I saved almost $6000 dollars. New project will be a whole house fan system which they also sell.

I replaced a Dunkirk XEB-3 (20 yrs. old) with the Dunkirk boiler above. The new one is all most identical to the old one, that is the pipes were located same as the old, so gas and water lines were easily plumbed. The old electrical wires could be used although lengthened to connect to the digital controls. The circulators location has changed, it's still provided with its wiring provided. Venting is the same as the old one. I was happy to get another Dunkirk that installed easily.

When we first turned it on we thought we had a problem because we couldn't hear the outdoor condenser running. I was just not sure about ordering a furnace over the internet. Oh am I glad I did. This was everything and so much more. Our home has never been so warm and cozy. Should have done this years ago. Our son put it in for us. He needs a new one too. So before next winter we will see he has one just like ours. If you need a new furnace, by all means, get a Goodman!!!!
