I own a 160 unit hotel and I have tried several different PTACs, Carrier, GE, Amana. These LG's have been the best, most reliable, and quietest units. They're slightly more expensive, but well worth it.

So far this seems like a terrific unit. We bought it primarily for heating. We spoke with a professional local installer who was terrific. They let us do some of the things to save costs. It's really easy if you can drill a hole through your wall. The professionals came before and after to check over what we did and then do the vacuum pumping and a few other things we just weren't sure about. Easy to install, though had to use local HVAC company to maintain warranty. Works great. Quiet. Just tried heat and it is a happy addition. We have owned this unit for about 6 months and are located in the Florida Panhandle.

Some details about the unit not in the description - comes with about 10' power cord/plug for the motor, 1" fittings are standard copper pipe sweat fittings, top and bottom frame just fits finished 2x4. Makes it easy to make a quick wood mounting frame. Unit radiates about 45K BTU with 167 degree water circulated into it at 2.1 gpm (return temp is 124 degrees). Fan is fairly low noise. Louvers a little light weight, have unit on the floor with louvers taped open.
