I was pleased with the delivery and all arrived undamaged except for the two part exterior chase. It was not wrapped in anything and appeared very dirty and scratched. Ameristar furnaces ARE the same as Trane and American standard furnaces (per trane tech support), except they don't have a painted finish. Even made in the same Trenton NJ factory. This furnace is about 40% cheaper here, on this site, than the same model in a Trane is from the local distributor.

The heater was ordered on a Friday and I could have gotten it on Wed but I could not have anybody here to receive it till Friday. It arrived on Friday morning just as I finished taking out the old furnace. I had it up and running by Monday, I tried to get the new one as close as possible as the old one in output and so I only got the single stage. I could not find the size as to how wide, deep, or height but that was probably my fault but it worked out great the only difference was the height... more

It is impossible to say maybe so at this point, I'd say depends not no. I bought this system from a supplier and have found support sometimes good and others seemed to be the person was reading the same documentation I already had. The reason I called was the documentation is not always very helpful and misses a lot. e.g. There is nothing regarding how to connect the condensate lines to the units except to do it. There is a lot about making sure they drain, but really. That makes obvious... more
