I bought a home that needed some work, and a furnace was one of the items it needed. I have never replaced one before, so checking for the right one was not an easy task. There are so many brands to choose from, and the price range and size also. So I looked around for some months and finally decided to try goodman, the brand that was originally in the home. January 2016 our heater went out at our business. We ordered the Modine PDP-150,000 BTU Unit Heater. Other than the shipping was slow - we received this heater a little later than expected in Wisconsin. The heater was installed and is working great as of today, March 2.

I have 2 of the 30,000 btu units and one 75,000 btu unit. I couldn't be happier with their performance and reliability. I went with these over the competition because of the compact design and the quality that they are built with. The Reznor brand may cost more but I have dealt with other heaters that have failed and caused pipes in the garage to freeze. Now I can leave for days at a time without thinking twice about what's going on back at home in sub zero temps.

I love this system. It's been installed in my house for almost two years now and have no problems at all and all the hot water I need. I would recommend this to anyone replacing a hot water unit. Originally, I had a tankless coil in the furnance and that required the furnace to run all year long. Now, I can shut off the furnace during the summer. Also, this product is energy star compliant which means a payback from uncle sam during tax time.
