Away from home for the winter. Family checking our home found the problem, needed a new boiler. Purchased this HRV to replace our 22-year old Mayaire unit. Didn't realize until the HRV arrived that it must hang for installation. My original unit sat on a table I built for it. So it took quite a while to find the right spot to have good access for straps, and not interfere with existing duct lines for old unit. The unit is much quieter than my original one, which is a plus. The only issue I had with the new unit is that the instructions for adjusting fan speeds are pretty vague. It took... more

I replaced a Dunkirk XEB-3 (20 yrs. old) with the Dunkirk boiler above. The new one is all most identical to the old one, that is the pipes were located same as the old, so gas and water lines were easily plumbed. The old electrical wires could be used although lengthened to connect to the digital controls. The circulators location has changed, it's still provided with its wiring provided. Venting is the same as the old one. I was happy to get another Dunkirk that installed easily.

The product arrived in less than 2-weeks. The unit is a high quality boiler made in Minnesota. This one was for my personal home. If you need questions answered or tech service, they are top notch. They know their product. This unit has been in operation for about a month and works flawlessly. I also have one of their plenum heaters, in use now for 12 years, without any problems what-so-ever.
