I bought this in-line fan to pump warm air into a chase containing hot and cold water pipes. When outdoor temperatures drop below 15 degrees Fahrenheit, the air in the chase falls below freezing, so I was worried that the pipes would freeze. This little fan together with flex duct (I stripped away the outer insulation) solved the problem. I have extensive building trade skills so installing the AC unit was quite simple for me to tackle myself. I had to have a branch 220v electrical panel added to service the unit. The only problem I had was finding a HVAC contractor to test the unit for leaks prior to firing it up. My wife likes the house at 77 Deg. and my son likes 70 Deg. in his room so I decided to purchase a Mitsubishi 9000 BTU mini split. The unit arrived as promised and was well packed. The long cable duct was missing, but was then shipped immediately without charge. The unit was easy to install per the included instructions. I have a 25' x 40' insulated garage. My new 60K btu Reznor heater brings the temp. from 50 degrees to 65 degrees in about 25 min. I love it.
