We talked about this for years and finally had one installed in our master bedroom. Our bedroom is the farthest room from our main unit. We had to keep the thermostat lower than necessary to make our room tolerable to sleep at night. This unit is quiet and cools wonderfully. Doesn't take long to cool the room when turned on. So many options can be programmed with the remote control. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I have extensive building trade skills so installing the AC unit was quite simple for me to tackle myself. I had to have a branch 220v electrical panel added to service the unit. The only problem I had was finding a HVAC contractor to test the unit for leaks prior to firing it up. Since most licensed HVAC contractors don't want to touch so small a job or they don't want the liability of signing off on the leak test if they did not install the unit themselves. I purchased the Gree duct units and installed in adjacent closets to the 4 rooms with grills on the walls. The connection pipes were run through the attic to the compressor. It was a lot of work to make the cutouts in the closet walls but the units work great, take up unused overhead space in the closets and are quiet! The QuietCool fan is awesome. We put it in our upstairs master bedroom and run it at night. It keeps the room very cool, almost as good as having the A/C on but waaaaay cheeper. Easy to install and very quiet when running. Great product. Would definitely buy it again.
