I used this inline fan to hook up to my vent hood in my kitchen. Even though this product was assembled in America, the motor was made in Germany and you certainly can't go wrong with German technology. I also brought LD10 silencer to attach directly to the fan and placed the silencer between the vent hood and the fan. I also purchased the FC10 clamp to hold the silencer and fan in place. Perfect Unit! Basement Now Under Control Dec 13, 2016

I deep researched this unit before purchasing, previously had small portable units (worked, but labor intensive)...basement would always be 15 percent higher humidity than upper house (deep summer would yield 70 percent humidity downstairs)...I "rafter" hung unit with run off directly to my furnace's evaporation pump (used clear tubing to see water discharge)...as "summer" just arrived and downstairs was reading 56 percent humidity I set unit to 50 on control and 11 hours... more

Ameristar furnaces ARE the same as Trane and American standard furnaces (per trane tech support), except they don't have a painted finish. Even made in the same Trenton NJ factory. This furnace is about 40% cheaper here, on this site, than the same model in a Trane is from the local distributor.

Had an Eternal boiler for only 2 years and code came up tried to find parts but the company had gone under. So much for warranties. These reviews should come out after you have had them for a couple years instead of a couple months but all in all it is doing the job. Like how quiet it runs.
