This was my first mini-split installation, and it was time consuming but easy. The system is very quiet while running, easily have a conversation standing next to it and I can't hear it standing around the corner of the building, 10' away. The installation is on a semi-secluded lake cottage with only nature for ambient noise, it is that quiet. I live in central California with evaporative cooling. I'm using this fan to vent out the hot air. The QuietCool replaced a simple department store unit and the difference is amazing. With much higher air flow, the whole house stays cooler. It's not a quiet fan, but it's 10 times quieter than any other fan with anywhere near the same air flow. I only wish I had found out about this unit years ago!
