Great Heat, But Extra Noise! May 17, 2016

Upon opening the package, I noticed a loose piece of sheet metal inside on the floor of the heat chamber. Upon investigation, this piece belonged vertically placed to possibly stabilize each of the heaters, by fastening with only one sheet metal screw to the top. I was able to get it in place and fasten the screw from the top outside with a larger screw, since the design one was stripped. I received the boiler in a timely fashion. The box was undamaged. I took it inside and removed the cardboard and it all seemed to be there and in good condition. I was surprised to see it had an outdoor reset built into it. It comes with the outdoor sensor. I will not be hooking this up until spring as I do not want to interrupt my heating system during the cold weather. But I do not foresee any issues. Replaced an 80k BTU unit with this one. Install was a breeze even considering the old unit was a floor mount and this one hangs on the wall. My HVAC guy showed up just as I was completing the wiring and it took him about 30 minutes to program it and run through a cycle. It's fast! I took a half-hour long shower, and by the time I'd dried, dressed and went to the utility room it was on standby........

AC unit of 8 years died during heat spell and contractors where quoting very high prices to replace. Having some mechanical ability I decided to purchase and install a new unit myself. eComfort guided me through the whole system and the new unit was shipped to Calif. in just a few days. Had new unit installed in two days and had a licensed AC Tech do my start-up. I saved almost $6000 dollars. New project will be a whole house fan system which they also sell.

I have 2 of the 30,000 btu units and one 75,000 btu unit. I couldn't be happier with their performance and reliability. I went with these over the competition because of the compact design and the quality that they are built with. The Reznor brand may cost more but I have dealt with other heaters that have failed and caused pipes in the garage to freeze. Now I can leave for days at a time without thinking twice about what's going on back at home in sub zero temps.
