Hooked up the heater in late June, so no way to tell how it will work when the cold weather arrives. Hook up was easy, except the schematic didn't really tell which of the possible 5-6 spots the two line thermostat was to be hooked. Blew a fuse the first time I turned it on, but the second placing of the thermostat lines worked.

Install went exactly per instructions. The unit is very quiet. I would also recommend ecomfort’s basic install kit. The wireless thermostat is a nice touch. Works just like a traditional thermostat and is programmable. The indoor unit is 3ft from a tv and 4ft from a fluorescent light. I have not seen any interference. The only negative was a dent on the outdoor unit. It must have happened at the factory as the packaging was in mint condition. The HVAC tech that purged the line mentioned... more

We purchased 75,000, 120,000, 150,000, and 200,000 BTU units, 28 units in total. The 83% efficient rating helped us offset the cost of the upgrade by being eligible for a rebate from our utility. All heaters were installed and work beautifully. The heaters look great! After waiting 26 days to get my Effinity 93 110000 btu unit, I installed it only to find out the propeller fan was very noisy. It is louder than my air compressor. Modine will not honor the warranty unless you use a professional installer. If you are a do it yourselfer, don't buy this unit. The propeller motor is cheap and creates a lot of vibration noise.
