4-star Unit Woks Great But Concerned About The Lack Of Warranty Jul 12, 2016

It was easy to install and start up but in reading the manual no warranty is supplied unless the system is installed by a certified installer. The house was cold and it was Saturday so no option of contracting help. Gas furnaces are inherently reliable so probably not a problem but some warning may have changed my mind of self performing.

I bought this unit not knowing if it would heat my 19 x 21 kitchen, but to my surprise I have not had to turn the unit any higher than 4 and that was on a -20 day . So my wife is well pleased with me.

Shipping was fast. Delivered on wood pallet. Installation took 2 days, primarily because of location of the unit inside and outside. Line set length was 46 feet, did not need to add extra 410a. For communication/power I used 14/4 mini split cable sold at hvac supply stores. Unit runs very quiet (inside and out) in Cooling mode, while hearing,the compressor ramps up and you can hear it a little. Installation took about 4 hrs (handy guy) and it's a 2 person job. Since the fans are placed in the attic and away from the bedrooms you barely hear the fans running at high speed unless you are standing right beneath them.
